2022 Lake Oswego Tree Summit
Our Urban Forest: Reverence, Renewal, Reciprocity
On Saturday, October 22nd, a number of residents, members of the city staff, and other interested parties attended the 2022 Annual Tree Summit both in person and on Zoom to learn more about the state of our urban forest. The Lake Oswego Tree Summit is an annual event presented by the Oswego Lake Watershed Council in partnership with the Lake Oswego Sustainability Network as a way for residents to gather together to grow their arboreal knowledge base and discuss ways to connect with and enhance the ecological health of our urban forest.
Our opening speaker this year was OLWC board chair, Stephanie Wagner, followed by presentations from the OLWC staff about the Westlake Oak Woodland and Mountain Park Land Resilience projects. Small group discussions about how residents can engage with their urban forest occurred during the summit.
