Brian Stewart\, co-founder of Electrify Now will speak about the role of electrification for a cleaner\, more sustainable home and future. \nAfter 25 years with Nike Inc\, as VP of Sustainable Innovation\, Stewart retired in 2018 and co-founded Electrify Now which focuses on accelerating the transition to a clean energy economy in order to avoid the worst effects of climate change. His webinars on practical approaches to home electrification draw thousands of viewers every month. \nStewart will talk about these approaches but also the big picture—the importance and challenges of moving our grid off fossil fuels. Renewable energy and electrification are transforming markets worldwide. Countries like China and those across Europe have already taken significant steps to advance their competitiveness in this fast growing industry. If the U.S. wants to keep pace\, widespread adoption of electrification is essential. \nElectrification offers families healthier\, safer\, and often more cost-effective solutions for heating\, cooling\, cooking\, landscaping and transportation.
